Miss Iola 2022 Contestant Agreement

Rules

1. Contestants must be at least 18 years old as of July 9th, 2022.
2. $50.00 registration fee due if a spot becomes available and you are contacted for entry into the contest. Registration fee includes: 2 weekend passes to the Iola Car Show, July 7-9, 2022, gift bag for each contestant, and the chance to win fabulous prizes!
3. Payment is due when contacted for a waitlist opening.
4. Contestants agree to release all rights to images, representation of image, and naming rights to Midwest Rockabeauties, Working Class Publishing, The Iola Car Show, and/or their designees.

Contest Guidelines

1. All contestants agree to check-in with the Midwest Rockabeauties and/ or their designees by 10am on July 9th, 2022 or forfeit all monies paid for registration and associated fees and participation in the contest will be revoked.
2. Contestants must be dressed and styled in clothing and hair appropriate for the 1940’s through the mid-1960’s. Please don’t make us explain to you that while that you look great, you should be dancing to disco or attending Coachella. Questions about appropriate clothing can be directed to the Midwest Rockabeauties via our Facebook page, before the day of the show. We are happy to help if you have questions about period appropriate fashion and hairstyles! This year also marks the Iola Car Show’s 50th anniversary! We encourage you to dress like you’re ready to celebrate!
3. No foul language, vulgar behavior, or intentional exposure of oneself to reveal garters, lingerie, or body parts above the mid-thigh or below the bra line will be tolerated while on stage or during scheduled Miss Iola Contest photo opportunities. Non-adherence to this policy will result in disqualification and/ or forfeiture of any title and prizes.
4. No exposed belly buttons. High-waisted skirts, pants or two piece swimsuits are acceptable if appropriate to the 1940’s through the mid-1960’s.
5. Anyone wearing inappropriate attire, as determined by the Midwest Rockabeauties and/ or their designees, will be asked to change or will not be allowed to participate. Please bring a back-up outfit on the day of the show.
6. Contestants who appear to be intoxicated or otherwise impaired on the day of the show may be disqualified at the discretion of the Midwest Rockabeauties, Working Class Publishing, the Iola Car Show and/ or their designees. All monies paid for registration and associated fees paid by the contestant will be forfeited.
7. All participants agree to be available immediately after the contest for additional photoshoots.
8. First, second and third place winners agree to represent Miss Iola Car Show for the period of July 9th, 2022 through July 2023 and make themselves available, upon reasonable advance request from the Midwest Rockabeauties, Working Class Publishing, the Iola Car Show, and/ or their designees, for participation in activities relevant to promotion of the Miss Iola Car Show contest in 2023.

The Prizes!

• The contestant who takes first place will be crowned Miss Iola Car Show 2022 and will receive a photoshoot with Square 1 Images, a signed copy of Gratisfaction by BigToe, a framed original DHR art print, a $50 Iola Car Show gift certificate, and a beauty bag.
• Second place will receive a photoshoot with DHR Images, a copy of Strip|Tease by Tigz Rice, a framed original DHR art print, and a beauty bag.
• Third place will receive a photoshoot with Cardinal White Photography, a copy of Dollface Kitchen by Cherry Dollface, a framed original DHR art print, and a beauty bag.
• All contestants will receive a gift bag with amazing prizes from our sponsors, including a digital copy of Dollface Vintage by Cherry Dollface.
